For those of us in the Northern Hemisphere,
the season of darkness is upon us.
This means shorter days and longer nights. During the month of November, the Sun is in the sign of Scorpio, which is associated with death and rebirth, and ruled by Pluto. Mercury is also retrograde in Scorpio, forcing all of us to re-examine our relationships with sex, survival, money and death. These are heavy aspects indeed!
There are four symbols associated with Scorpio: the scorpion, the snake, the eagle, and the Phoenix.
These symbols are meant to represent Transformation, which usually comes through personal upheaval or inner turmoil.
This can be an opportunity for spiritual redemption (think: the Phoenix rising from the ashes). Meaning, being consciously aware enough to recognize the gift in what is happening so that you can look on it with the love of your Divine Self, not the ego's gloom and doom perception.
